Scripts

without comments

For what they’re worth, here are some scripts I’ve written to do various things that I need or needed to do. It’s called scratching your own itch.

There are probably much easier ways of doing the following, but hey! Feel the power!

WARNING

Scripts can be dangerous. It is possible to write a script that erases your hard drive, breaks your system, spits in your face, farts in your general direction and such.

You should therefore be warned that the following script(s) could be dangerous. I say that it (they) is (are) not - but who knows, really? Do you trust me? Am I technically competent? Are you?

No warranty, express or implied, comes with this (these) script(s), which is (are) supplied ‘as is’.

May I suggest that you have a look at the script before you invoke it?

Having said that, I can assure you that AFAIK this (these) script(s) are not dangerous - so have fun with them.

  • 90cc a script to losslessly batch rotate .jpg files by 90° clockwise and rename them using a suffix.
  • jpgshrink : a script to reduce .jpg files by 50% and rename them using a suffix.
  • pdfallfiles: a script to convert all the .doc files in a folder to .pdf, keeping the original filenames.
  • jpgshrink3 : this reduces the .jpg (to 33% of their original size), renames them using a user-supplied suffix, moves the reduced file to a different folder and creates a thumbnail in a thumbnail folder. It doen’t modify the original image.
